her life was the most pre-
cious thing one could own,
and living meant packing
each minute to its fullest-
running, talking, dancing,
laughing . . . the gap that is
left in our lives by her
death can be only partially
filled by the memories we

The Student Council is the voice and median of the
student body. Candy sales for student activities,
sponsor of the school orphan, the forum for student
gripes, the coordinator of the donkey basketball
game --all are projects undertaken by the Student
Council. With its staunch and avid supporter and
sponsor, Mr. Abrahams on, the Council functions as
one of the schools highly active and we 11 -supported
organizations*

tion in Arizona.

Effort did bring results !

Mr. "A" congratulated the high candy salesman: 1st
prize, Mary Kamuda; 2nd prize, Joyce Kimball; 3rd
prize, Ernie Kish; 4th prize, Linda Shortsleeve.

$114. 47 was collected by the UNICEF marchers on Halloween night— and
that's a lot of pennies.

"The Ugly Duckling" was Proctor's entry this year for the
District One -Act Play Contest, Miss Gallos, the imaginative
director, combined talent from the freshman through senior
classes to make a great production.

The contest was held at Middlebury, Although Proctor's
entry did not win, the play was very popular with its audience,
and the general feeling was that it would "go down well with
posterity, T!

Three junior -sponsored one -act plays were presented
by the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes.

The sophomores' well -presented play* "The
Lottery, 11 won them top honors ♦

The juniors, giving a good try, presented "The
Seeds ol Suspicion. " They became the second
consecutive junior class to go winless.

The freshmen rounded out the evening with their
entertaining presentation of "I’m a Fool,"

Congratulations go to all who contributed to making
